Chasing down an uncooperative flock of Cedar waxwings this morning I paused briefly at one of their favorite locations; a small area surrounded on one side by the cedar trees and bordered by a small creek running through the public land. After a 5-10 minute wait to see if they would show back up to enjoy the cedars I was surprised to see this coyote walking down the last remaining ice directly at me - and confused as to how to get back to shore to hide from the camera.

It is rarely what you are looking for in the game of wildlife photography but most often what is given to you at the moment.
