Bald Eagle Nest - Feeding time

written by

A couple days of after work observation at the local eagle nest with the young eagles having hatched just last week. With the wind roaring both nights it made it a challenge to keep the camera steady enough to get any video clips, but thanks to adobe premiere's stabilization I was able to salvage a couple clips of the adult eagle feeding the young chicks.

To be noted this was shot at a very long distance to the nest as to not disturb the birds, and to accomplish the close crop on the video we used a 500mm lens with a 1.4 extender and additionally it was shot in 4K cropped down to full HD - resulting in around 1400mm of zoom - allowing the birds to remain completely natural coming and going from the nest as we took our video clips and photos.
