They speak for themselves. An undeniable prairie voice. They were a much more uncommon sight for me when growing up in Minnesota but they are surely abundant out in the South Dakota Prairie grass; having even encountered one at 12 inches away while out taking video of a Sharp-Tailed Grouse Lek earlier this year. I had a chance to video this guy singing his song one night while out looking for Blue Grosbeaks, which were nowhere to be found that evening.
